Chris Kirchenheiter

President

Chris brings a long history of proven management and leadership experience to SureShip. Having spent the majority of his professional career as the President and Founder of a group of retail businesses in Maryland, his strategic planning, enthusiastic leadership and hands on management saw his companies enjoy significant growth over 20 years. After selling his businesses in 2014, he joined G&G Outfitters to develop and run a new business unit that sells branded merchandise on college campuses. As President of SureShip, he will have direct responsibility for all of the financial, operational, sales and personnel performance of the company.

Chris received a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Randolph Macon College and a Master’s degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He and his wife Stacey reside in Severna Park, MD. They spend most of their free time attending the various sporting events of their five children. Chris enjoys fishing, coaching youth sports and spending time with his family.

Bryan Caporlette

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Bryan Caporlette is tasked with leading the successful implementation of information technology across the company. Bryan has over 25 years experience developing and supporting software solutions across a wide variety of industries including financial services, semi-conductor, high tech, insurance, healthcare and government. He is a recognized expert in SGML/XML, dating back to his work on Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) for the US Air Force, and has been invited to present at industry and technology conferences throughout his career. Bryan brings a wealth of knowledge deploying on premise as well as SaaS based software solutions.

Bryan graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Systems Analysis. Away from work he enjoys spending time with his wife, Mickey, and his two sons. He is an avid sports fan, enjoys golfing, and has had the privilege of coaching his boys in baseball, football and basketball. Additionally, he enjoys the fun and relaxation of boating on the Severn River with family and friends.

Sean Wood

Director of Strategic Accounts

Sean Wood is responsible for proactive account management, customer service and business development for SureShip. Sean joined SureShip in June 2004 as an Account Executive and was promoted to his current position in 2013.

Prior to his current position at SureShip, Sean spent 2 years at The Discovery Channel in Silver Spring. During this time Sean gained critical project management and coordination expertise operating under rigid production deadlines.

Sean received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg VA. He enjoys kayaking, snowboarding, fishing and racing sailboats in Annapolis's Wednesday night series. He resides in Annapolis, MD with his wife Elizabeth and daughters Norah and Hadley.

Byron Simmons

Director of Client Solutions

Byron is responsible for leading SureShip's Client Solutions Team to ensure that all program requirements are being satisfied on a consistent basis

Prior to his current position, Byron spent 10+ years working as a Consultant, Sales Manager and Buyer. He has parlayed his extensive work experience into building an account management team and cultivating customer service representatives.

Byron received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He enjoys reading, playing music, chess, sports and traveling. He resides in Capitol Heights, MD and is a proud father of two children.
